Removal of gasifiers and storage tank in El Prat de Llobregat

This operation involved the special transport of a VT60 model storage tank, measuring 14 metres in length, 3 metres in width, 3.28 metres in height and weighing 25,000 kg when empty.

An extendable flatbed trailer was used for the transport, allowing the length of its loading platform to be adapted to the dimensions of the equipment and ensuring correct weight distribution.

The operation required extensive coordination of vehicles: a 30-metre articulated boom was needed to safely carry out the slinging and unslinging of the tank from above. In addition, two heavy-duty cranes were used to lift the tank and subsequently tilt it, positioning it horizontally for safe transport on the flatbed trailer.

Furthermore, we had two additional platforms for transporting the gasifiers (4 in total), alongside the flatbed trailer designated for transporting the main tank.

An operation that demonstrates our technical capability to manage special transport operations in Barcelona, combining lifting equipment, logistics planning and solutions tailored to oversized loads.
