Special transport of wine tanks on a low-loader and crane.

At Transportes Ángel Velasco, we continue to undertake projects that demonstrate our expertise in specialised road haulage in Spain

We have recently successfully completed the transport of four stainless steel wine tanks with a capacity of 27,000 litres.

Due to the large dimensions of the tanks, the transport was carried out using a low-loader, which allowed us to maintain the stability and safety of the load throughout the journey.

Our team handles the lashing of the load onto the vehicles using the necessary equipment and materials to protect the goods and prevent damage to the stainless steel, ensuring delivery in perfect condition.

This 250 mm high flatbed, with a 4,150 mm high tank, allowed for a clearance height of 4,350 mm during transport, enabling us to load inside the warehouse and pass under the 4,450 mm high external exit door.

The delivery consisted of two transport operations: one using a 6x2 tractor unit without a crane, accompanied by one of our pilot vehicles to comply with special transport regulations and assist the driver with signalling during manoeuvres and driving; and a second transport operation using a 6x4 tractor unit with a crane and a lowered gondola, carrying out the unloading and verticalisation of both loads at the destination.
