Transport of a modular home totalling 380 m² to the island of Palma de Mallorca via special transport

At Transportes Ángel Velasco, we carried out the special transport of a 380 m² modular house from the province of Girona to the island of Palma de Mallorca.

In the first phase, four modules measuring 14 m long x 4.90 m wide x 3.70 m high were transported, and in the second phase, another four modules of similar dimensions and weight

 

The operation was carried out using four low-loader flatbed trailers fitted with radio-controlled swivel axles to facilitate manoeuvring to the final destination at 07015 GENOA

 

All transports were accompanied by our pilot vehicles to operate the swivel axles and a police escort to coordinate traffic for other vehicles.

 

Our technical department had previously carried out both structural and feasibility studies to identify the optimal route and the necessary measures, such as removing traffic lights, bollards and any other road obstacles that would prevent the convoy’s passage, as well as reinforcing a bridge with a maximum weight limit of 40 tonnes to allow the convoy to pass, given the total of 80 tonnes being transported.

 

With this new project, Transportes Ángel Velasco reaffirms its expertise in the transport of modular homes, special road haulage and oversized transport to destinations on the mainland, islands and the rest of Europe.
